Kainos (Ki. . .noss) (rhymes with Ross) is a New Testament Greek Word which means different from usual, better than old, superior in value. It means "Qualitatively New," radical. II Corinthians 5:17 says, "If anyone be in Christ, she/he is a new (Kainos) creation; the old has passed away, everything is new." Kainos is the epitome of the completely different and miraculous change, which is brought about at the time of salvation.   Kainos is not just about being rearranged, but being transformed; totally new.
